AUSTRALIA Return Policy

We expect you’ll love your purchases, but if you don’t, we are happy to offer a return for exchange, store credit or refund*. *Items purchased during a sale period or with a flash discount code are eligible for an exchange or store credit only. To be eligible for a return, items must be sent back and received by Boom Shankar within 35 days of delivery. Items must be in their original condition with all tags intact, unwashed, and unworn. We cover the cost of postage on returns only if the item is faulty. Returns due to dissatisfaction or a change of heart will incur a $10 Australia Post returns label fee.

Items purchased on outlet.boomshankar.com or marked with FINAL SALE are not eligible for a return. Please choose carefully.

DO YOU ACCEPT INTERNATIONAL RETURNS? Plus

We currently only accept returns from New Zealand. Please submit your return via our portal HERE.

Please note we do not provide returns labels for international orders. Instead, please take your parcel to your nearest post office and pay for the shipping back to Boom Shankar. Our returns address is 2/47 Gateway Drive, Noosaville QLD 4566 Australia.

RETURN POLICY Plus

Full-Priced Items:

These items can be returned for an online credit (valid for 3 years), an exchange if the product is available (return postage will be charged at $10), or a full refund for the item(s) excluding shipping costs.


Sale & Promotional Items:

This includes flash sale styles, which can be returned for an online credit (valid for 3 years) or an exchange if the product is available (return postage will be charged at $10). Products purchased during a sale period are not valid for a refund. 


Final Sale / Non-Refundable Products:

We do not offer returns/refunds/online credit on any items marked FINAL SALE which is reflected in the dramatically reduced prices of these items. If you're returning these products due to a change of mind or if they don't meet the ACL criteria, they'll be sent back to the sender at the marked address or the details from the original purchase order if unmarked. We can't be held liable for any loss or delay in return-to-sender parcels. All Final Sale / Non-Returnable products will be clearly marked on the product page and at checkout.

INSTANT EXCHANGES Plus

We are pleased to now offer instant exchanges. This means we will send your new item as soon as possible. In fact, we recommend instant exchanges for our best-selling and in-demand styles to avoid disappointment. We cannot reserve stock for standard exchanges, choosing an instant exchange ensures you receive your new item sooner.

How do I process an instant exchange?

Follow these steps in the returns portal and select “instant exchange.” You’ll be prompted to enter your card information, and an exchange order will be created immediately.

A temporary hold for the cost of the new product will be placed on your card. If the return is not completed within the 14-day return window, the total fee will be charged to your card.

EXCHANGES Plus

We offer exchanges on eligible returns submitted within 35 days of delivery.

Please submit your exchange via our Returns Portal

We offer flat-rate exchanges on Australian orders. A pre-paid returns label will be issued for a flat rate of $10.00, which will be deducted from your refund at the time of processing.

Please note, that local post services can take 5–7 business days to return your parcel. Once your parcel is delivered to our warehouse, we will confirm its arrival, and your exchange will be processed.

RETURN FOR STORE CREDIT Plus

We offer a store credit for all returns, excluding final sale items. Customers will receive the total amount of all items returned excluding shipping costs. This will be provided to the customer in the form of an Online Gift Card which can be used at boomshankar.com.au  

All sale and promotional items will be entitled to a return for store credit OR exchange only. The store credit will be for the value of the items returned (excluding shipping). 

Please note, Store Credit cannot be converted to cash or refunded to cash/card when it has been used as the payment method.

RETURN FOR A REFUND Plus

We offer refunds for returned full-priced items in accordance with our terms and conditions.

To receive a refund back to your original payment method, minus the cost of the shipping label, Please submit your return via our Returns Portal.

Once Boom Shankar has approved and reviewed your refund it will be processed back onto the original payment method. You will receive an email confirmation once your refund has been processed.

If you have used AfterPay to make the original purchase, the refund will then drop through to reflect on your Afterpay account, and if you're owed a refund back to your card, it will be returned to the card that was used to make the payments via your Afterpay account.

Afterpay advises that once they process your refund, the money can take up to 10 business days to be returned to your card/s, depending on your financial institution.

Please note, refunds can only be made to the method used for purchase and are for the return of full-priced items ONLY (not sale or promotional items).

FINAL SALE ITEMS Plus

We do not offer returns/refunds/online credit on any items marked FINAL SALE which is reflected in the dramatically reduced prices of these items. If you have used AfterPay to purchase the item, the refund will then drop through to reflect on your Afterpay account, and if you're owed a refund back to your card, it will be returned to the card that was used to make the payments via your Afterpay account.

·   Full price items can be returned for an online credit (valid 3 years) or a refund if full price. Afterpay & Zip Pay purchases cannot be exchanged.

·   Sale items or items purchased during a promotion are only entitled to an online credit.

·   To return your goods, complete the online returns process as per the normal returns policy – if eligible for a refund (full price items only), your initial payment will be returned in full and the remaining payments canceled at no charge. When you link your Afterpay account to a debit or credit card, please be aware that standard fees and charges may be applicable. Please refer to your card issuer’s terms and conditions for full details.

FAULTY ITEMS Plus

If you believe your item is faulty, you must contact us as soon as possible to describe the fault. We will endeavor to exchange or refund if we deem the item to be faulty. This is governed by Australian consumer law. If we require the goods to be returned for inspection, this must be done within 10 days of contacting us.

Please note that many of the items on this website are handmade and or hand-printed and may have variations in colour and pattern. In some cases, a fit guide has been provided stating if the garment is true to size, oversized, relaxed or straight-fitting. We have stated this clearly in our product descriptions and as such, the fit of a garment, signs of wear, small marks, and inconsistencies are not considered faults on these items.
