We have just dropped the first release of our Summer 2023 collection, Flower Power, so it’s time to take a peek at what has inspired the vibrant colours, retro touches and vacay vibes of the collection.
A Flower Power journey of kaleidoscopic colour awaits you this summer as you board the soul train. Sea spray and sunshine greet you at your first stop, Costa del Peregian, where the brilliant sapphire of the ocean and the lush sage of the pandanus trees come alive as the backdrop for crisp white florals. As dawn approaches a carnival of vermillion red, flamingo pink, tangerine and amber flowers bloom to welcome the rising sun as it casts deep ochre, plum and coral reflections over the water. Heading inland, the train departs, meandering through the enchanting landscapes that keep Australia Dreaming. Fields of mauve and mustard wild flowers pass you by as an aquamarine sky stretches overhead to meet moss green hills, dotted with bursts of blush pink, pomegranate and apricot blossoms. The train journeys through the deep charcoal night and you awake to a psychedelic dream of rainbow zigzags, daisies, cool bananas, and the fresh coconut of a Pina Colada. Like a cool breeze you blow through the tropics, Dancing on the Feeling as your heart beats to the sound of soulful retro rhythms and you groove through lush emerald palm fronds trailing a violet tiger that beckons you to follow. As the train departs its final stop, you meditate on the journey, treasuring the bubbling effervescence of life well-lived – a vibrant, loving, ever blooming Botanical Fizz.
This summer is alllll about the good vibes.
It brings us so much joy to be launching the Flower Power collection with some of our new, signature block prints. These pieces, and the collection as a whole, is made to give you that fresh summer feeling with a Boom take on dopamine dressing.
Vacay vibes abound with the collection taking style cues from an era where flower power florals were met with bold geos and graphic prints. It’s a nostalgic celebration that continues the love affair with all things India through the use of traditional print and construction techniques.
In this collection, you will find vibrant block print pieces, retro and feminine florals, funky tees, soft checks and geometric designs in fun and flattering shapes and luxe summer fabrications. And of course, our favourite thing of all for this season (and every season)… COLOUR!
